We’re proud to be veteran-owned and to provide meaningful programs that support our local veterans. Transitioning back to civilian life can be challenging, and we believe that beekeeping offers a unique way to foster resilience, purpose, and community connection for veterans.
Beekeeping requires patience, discipline, and problem-solving—skills that many veterans already have. Caring for bees and managing a hive teaches respect for nature while offering a sense of responsibility and achievement. Many veterans have found that beekeeping provides a calming routine that helps with the transition back into everyday life, while others enjoy the opportunity to learn new business skills in agriculture.
Our programs are designed to introduce veterans to every step of the beekeeping process, from hive setup to honey extraction. Veterans have the chance to work directly with experienced beekeepers and other community members, learning the essential skills for building and maintaining their own hives.
For those interested in starting a beekeeping business, Foundation Honey Co provides resources to get started. From honey sales to pollination services, beekeeping offers veterans a sustainable income stream. As members of the Farmer Veteran Coalition, we also help veterans connect with additional agricultural resources, making it easier to succeed in this rewarding field.
By supporting veterans in beekeeping, we’re not only helping them grow; we’re also creating more awareness about the importance of bees. Each hive adds pollinators to our ecosystem, helping local gardens and farms thrive. Our work bridges the gap between community empowerment and environmental stewardship.
If you know a veteran who could benefit from beekeeping or if you’d like to support our mission, we invite you to explore our programs and initiatives. Foundation Honey Co is dedicated to creating lasting change, and everyone is welcome to join us on this journey.
